Stay in the loop with Rachel Moon Sews and find out where you can connect with me to keep building your sewing skills. Stay posted on upcoming classes, pop ups, and more!

In 3 - 4 basic lessons you will:

  1. Learn the basics of using your sewing machine: what do you call the parts? How do you make a straight line? How do you create a bobbin? What is a bobbin? All this and more answered in your first session with me.

  2. Begin the wrap around skirt! You will bring with your chosen fabric, prewashed and ready to go, and we will construct a wrap skirt together using a pattern and your blossoming sewing skills.

  3. Finish the skirt. Additional skills learned will be how to use a pattern, how to finish seams without a serger, and how to do a rolled hem.

  • We will schedule ahead to measure you for the skirt so that you can purchase your supplies before the first lesson.

  • Starting at $450 for three 2.5 hour classes. If further lessons need to be added to complete the project you will be charged prior to the lessons outside the three package lessons.  Additional lessons will be at the package rate of  $60/hr.

  • Flexible schedule. Deposit of $75 due within a week of booking to secure date requested. Half of the remaining balance ($187.50) is due the day before the date of booking and the final half ($187.50) is due on the second lesson. Deposit comes out of the total cost of the course. Students must purchase their own fabric and thread. Appropriate for ages 16 and up.
