Stay in the loop with Rachel Moon Sews and find out where you can connect with me to keep building your sewing skills. Stay posted on upcoming classes, pop ups, and more!

In 4 basic lessons you will:

  1. Learn the basics of using your sewing machine: what do you call the parts? How do you make a straight line? How do you create a bobbin? What is a bobbin? All this and more answered in your first session with me. In this lesson we will determine based on your measurements how much fabric you will need for the skirt.

  2. Begin the wrap around skirt! You will bring with your chosen fabric, prewashed and ready to go, and we will construct a tote bag together using a pattern and your blossoming sewing skills.

  3. (and 4) Finish the skirt.

  • $600 for four 2.5 hour classes. Flexible schedule. Deposit of $250 due on first session. Deposit comes out of the total cost of the course.  Students must purchase their own fabric and thread. Appropriate for ages 10 and up.
